Article II. How this policy works?

We collect and use personal data about individuals, including visitors („you„) on our website https://seefco.ro („Site”). We are aware of our responsibilities to handle your personal data with care, to keep it secure and comply with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

We act in our capacity as data controller, in the meaning of the EU and local data privacy rules.

Article III. What personal data do we process?

When you visit our Site, we collect, on the following occasions, certain types of personal data:

1. Comments

When you leave comments on our website, we collect the data shown in the comments form, namely [wordpress commets], and also your IP address and browser user agent string, to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

2. Media

If you upload images [TBC: or other media (e.g. videos, audio registrations etc.)], to the Site, we collect the following data [The users don’t have permission to upload photos or videos].

You should not upload images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.

Article IV. Why we collect your data?

We use your data:

  • your consent: by choosing to use the Site, you consent to your personal data being collected and processed by us for the purposes and as regulated in this Privacy Policy. Article VI. Cookies

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behavior information. When you visit our Site, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology. For example:

Article VII. Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this Site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Article VIII. Who we share your data with

We may disclose your personal data:

We will share your personal data with third parties only in the ways that are described in this policy, only to the extent necessary as per the applicable purpose of the disclosure and in strict compliance with applicable data privacy laws (including by observing the requirement to conclude compliant data processing agreements with any third party processor carrying out their tasks on our behalf and upon our instructions). We do not otherwise share or sell your personal data with or to third parties. We may use and disclose Anonymus data without restriction.

We do not and will not share, disclose, sell, rent, or otherwise provide personal data to other companies for the marketing of their own products or services.

Article IX. How long we retain your data

We will retain your personal data for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes listed in Section IV of this policy. In some circumstances we may retain your personal data for longer periods of time, for instance where we are required to do so in accordance with legal, regulator, tax or accounting requirements.

In specific circumstances we may also retain your personal data for longer periods of time so that we have an accurate record of your dealings with us in the event of any complaints or challenges, or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation relating to your personal data or dealings.

For example, If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained for 1 Year. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Also, for users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Where your personal data is no longer required we will ensure it is either securely deleted or stored in a way which means it will no longer be used by the business.

Wewould like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

Article XI. Where your data is sent

Third parties to which we may disclose your personal data may be located within the European Union and elsewhere in the world (including the United States).  As a result, your personal data may be transferred to countries outside of the country where the personal data was collected to countries whose data protection laws may be less stringent than the laws in your country.

We will ensure that suitable safeguards are in place to protect your personal data and that the transfer of your personal data complies with applicable data protection laws. Where required by applicable data protection laws, we have ensured that service providers (including other associated companies) sign standard contractual clauses as approved by the European Commission or other supervisory authority with jurisdiction over the relevant data exporter.
